The Japanese Art House Project is a humble attempt by Pluto Monkey to show how music has a true purpose in artistic values. The project tries to celebrate Japanese art, culture & history and thus tries to provide a sonic experience of what post-modern Japanese music would ideally mean to him.

This project was specifically made for listening in art galleries during gallery viewing.

The artist has tried to extend the terminology of "art house" and what it can mean for us in music today. Originally, art-house only embodied "experimental film" as criteria to meet the artistic definition. The artist in this project has tried to extend the definition by trying to show that music can also take very specific functions to provide an experience. Thus, he encourages everyone to listen to this music while in the presence of some kind of modern artwork.

With this project, the artist hopes that the boundaries of what can be considered to be art-house can now fit both equally, music & film.
